Was wondering how long did people's heartburn last for and what did you do to make it feel better ?

I have one that I take every night but its to prevent ulcers and it helps a bit then I take zantac on top and it helps but I hope I don't have this issue forever

I'm on my 6th month and still taking medicine daily for the heartburn.

I take prescription Protonix (generic=Pantoprazole). I went off it after 2 weeks and felt like crap. I've been back on it ever since and my tummy feels fine. BTW... I used to get terrible acid before surgery. Took several Zantac every day. Not any more....
