I am 2 weeks post op and I was up walking as soon as they would let me out of that bed and haven't stopped. The more you move the better you will feel.

Mine was worst the first night, pretty bad the day after surgery, and about gone by the second day. Hang in there. Try and burp as much as you can.

It helped me to lay in my left side and just try and burp it out.

The gas feeling was never really much of a problem. But then I was walking from the get-go.

How long does it take for gas feeling to go away??

Vinnie - You really need to move, that's the best solution. I had a lot of pain in my upper back and shoulders that was helped by a heating pad. Hang in there, it get better.
