1 week post op!

Tomorrow marks my 1 week since having the surgery and things have been going really well!

Although I had to stay in the hospital an extra day, my time home has been a breeze. I don't have to sip on liquids, I can drink them regularly. I'm not hungry at all during the day, I just experience a really really dry mouth and my cravings start kicking in. For example: OMG a #7 from chick Fil a would be sooo good right now. Or an m&m cookie would just be aahhh.

When this happens, I just suck on a sugar free spearmint peppermint and go about my day.

I must say that by day 5 post op, I was so tired of chicken broth and crystal light. Last night I drained some vegetable juice from a can of vegetable soup and that was pretty good. Today I had a few teaspoons of natural applesauce and made out fine.

I thank God my experience wasn't as horrific as some of the stories I've read on here.

Temptations do occur, but it's a mind thing. I tell myself, I can do this. I did this surgery for a reason.

I'm just ready to get to the part where I can have real food!

I've already started looking up recipes for things to cook with wonton wrappers! ????

Almost forgot!!! I'm down 20 pounds in just one week! Super excited!!!

That is so awesome! I've heard some people recommend Biotene mouth spray for the dry mouth :)

Congratulations and good luck on your continued success.

I am feeling down, I lost 14lbs in 10 days and then nothing. I have followed the program and coming up on day 21. I feel like everyone has lost more!

Don't be hard on yourself! One thing I've learned from this forum is everyone loses differently! Some lose inches more than pounds and vice versa. Some lose faster than others but we're all losing the weight!

I am tired of crystal lite and broth to so you not the only one and they tell you that you can't eat but girl keep doing good I'm happy for you. I had a good recovery at home to and I'm doing much better I just want to eat some mashed potatoes
