Glad to hear you are doing well! I'm day 3 and was discharged last night. I was miserable at home and couldn't sleep. I finally found some comfort laying on my side so I did sleep a little bit. Today has been progressing much better! I took a shower earlier which made me feel better, walked around the house and then spoke to my surgeon's assistant who told me I can up my pain meds if need be. I also drank a cup of hot peppermint tea which helped a little.

Yeah the only pain I feel is when I sit up and down or if I swallow too fast

I'm 4 days out and today was the turn around day for me. I had my first post-op appointment and I was able to get my JP drain out which definitely made moving around a lot easier! It's also the first full day I haven't felt the need to take pain meds which is reassuring. sleeping is still uncomfortable but I'm stomach sleeper so I have had to try and sleep on my back....ick. Other that occasional gas bubbles (which I'm controlling with Gas-X) I haven't had any hiccups and I've been getting my food and fluids down.

Glad to hear you guys are doing well. It gets better day by day.
