Pretty much anything by AC/DC

Renegade - Styx

Pretty much anything by Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • Jesus Built my Hotrod - Ministry/Psalm 69
  • Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd/The Wall
  • Heroin - The Velvet Underground/The Velvet Underground and Nico
  • Hurt- NIN/The Downward Spiral OR The Only Time/Pretty Hate Machine (or just about any other song, especially pre 1992)
  • Where is my Mind? - Pixies/Surfer Rosa
  • I Will Find You (theme from Last of the Mohicans) - Clannad/Banba
  • Recipe for Making Love - Harry Connick Jr./We are in Love

And sooooo many others...

Wheetsin is right, songs are much harder. I guess I didn't really answer your question by listing a bunch of bands. Here are some of my favorite songs:

Breaking Glass - David Bowie

Still Ill - The Smiths

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

Bitch, Love in Vain - Rolling Stones

Only Love Can Break Your Heart - Neil Young

My Wife - The Who

Happness is A Warm Gun - The Beatles

It Takes A Lot to Laugh, It Takes A Train to Cry - Bob Dylan

Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen

This is right up my alley! I LOVES ME SOME MUSIC!!! Songs are hard, there are few songs I don't LOVE. Did anyone see the Oprah and Gail road trip? Gail had to sing every song, and Oprah was pissed. Well, I am Gail. I sing everything. For music lovers out there, get satelite radio, amazing. I am a Dead Head, and have seen them over 100 times?! I can't pick songs, but I will contribute w/ genres.

Rock

Classic Rock

Country- Boot Scootin Country!!

R & B

Old School

Classical

Even some POP like Nickleback, Daughtery, Amy Winehouse

Good thread, just too hard for me.

Yes, I agree, songs are hard.

So this is my list for today, I know that tomorrow it will be different.

Debaser - Pixies

Fell on Black Days - Soundgarden

The Band - King Harvest

The Smiths - How Soon Is Now

The Black Keys - Set You Free

Clash - Ghetto Defendant

Flamin' Groovies - Slow Death

Pearl Fishers Duet - done by anybody

Hendrix - Little Wing

Tragically Hip - Courage

UB40 - If It Happens Again

Modest Mouse - Heart Cooks Brain

Holly Cole - I Can See Clearly Now

Sam and Dave - Soothe Me

Robert Cray - Acting This Way

John Martyn - May You Never

My daughter is 25 and loves them too, she likes all the music I listened to while she was growing up, she got to meet Gene Simmons and they put her on the news and she said I have listened to him all my life my mother loves KISS ,(bet Gene was feeling old about then, lol) . Then only my daughter could have said this she told the reporter it was better than meeting the president!! We all got a big laugh out of it.
