Can this delay surgery?

I am pre op for a gastric bypass but wanted to ask those of you who have had surgery this question. I had my endoscopy today. They found hiatal hernia, irregular line and non-corrosive gastritis in the entire stomach. I know the hiatal hernia can be fixed at the same time I get the gastric bypass, but has anyone had either of the other two problems delay or stop gastric bypass?

Sorry I didnt have this problem but I do have a friend who it was discovered that she had a hernia it did not stop her surgery they just fix it when they did her RNY. By the way congrats on your choice to be healthy and good luck.

I had my surgery this past Friday,26. I ended up in surgery for almost 5 hours because the hiatal hernia was bigger and more entailed than they thought going in...ended up staying in hospital until yesterday...everything ins on the mend. They should be able to take care of everything for you
