Hi there! I had been taking Biotin for a few years prior to my surgery. I still had hair loss. It's growing back like a champ right now. So, my experience is that taking it prior to the surgery didn't really make a difference. Good luck!

]I am over 2 years out from having the Gastric Sleeve. I was using Rogaine for a little while, but it didn't do to much. I started taking 5000 Biotin and my hair started getting thicker and growing back, but I bagan getting adult acne, so I cut down to taking the Biotin only twice a week. Now, out of no where. My hair has began falling out again in astonishing amounts and I am right back where I started. Don't know why it started all over again and just don't know what to do next.

my doctor told me people start loosing thier hair because they dont take in enough protien. he also told me to take a good multi Vitamin they said prenatal ones work well especially if you are worried about Hair loss. i take a vitamin daily and make sure i eat plenty of protien and i have not had any problems loosing my hair yet and i really cant afford to since its thin as it is.

I experienced Hair loss about 2 months after my surgery. After that my hair seems to be growing back as normal. I do feel it was due to the low amount of Protein because I was on pre-op diet and then was only doing liquids/mushies. Currently I take Biotin daily as well as a Multivitamin. My hair stylist was telling me that as women age we lose more hair. I just turned 45 so maybe that is due to my aging. Anyways, I chose a new hair style that I don't have to blowdry and flatiron and my hair is looking pretty thick these days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
