African American vsgers!

  • Popular Post

Hey guys I saw a thread from 2011 that I wanted to continue. I love all of my vsgers but as we know african american women tend to carry weight differently. I would love to follow you ladies on your journey and for us all to support each other.

I was sleeved on September 5th so I'm a week out. I'm doing good so far and feeling better everyday. I stayed at the hospital 3 days mostly because they discovered my allergy to morphine while I was on the pump with a fever and my entire body on fire. But I'm home now and much better. I was just moved to the full liquids stage so I'm pretty happy considering that the liquids stage made me nauseous. I've lost 24 lbs since my surgery so any pain I have is over shadowed by my joy.

Looking forward to hearing from you ladies and seeing some progress pics!

Two minutes for an EKG but an Echo can take at least 1 hr.

Ok SiStars... I am roughly right under 4 mos pro and my edges are SHOT! Help! What are you doing (for those who had hair loss) to combat this foolery?? I'm Natural so I need some help as my hair care routine is very basic with oils and butters. Save me and my edges please!

The best thing for your hair is to strengthen it from the inside out. Collagen supplements, keratin supplements, MSM, making sure your Iron level are good, and maybe adding in extra Zinc. If your hair is falling out at the root, no cream or butter is going to help. I had a bad experience with some braids a few years ago, and I regrew my edges with collagen supplements and these vitamins http://www.sephora.com/phytospecific-cap-energy-dietary-supplement-P376055

I was sleeved 9/1 please add me or I'm not sure how this all works.

Hello everyone, hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving, I haven't been in here in a while, but today I come with exciting news, I got approved and my surgery date is January 11th, 2016; I'm excited and anxious. I start my pre op diet on the 28th of this month, I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it will be worth it.

Feeling like fire. I must say it is a great feeling to be in Onederland. 4 months out from surgery 60lbs down. Loving life.

That is awesome Diva

I just had my visit with the cardiologist and the ekg was fine but she wants me to have a stress test and an echo done, did anyone else have to have this and what did it involve? Feeling frustrated :(

My PCP wants me to have a stress test as well, Because my BP is usually high when I visit on my lunch break (work related stress) if I visit before going to work or on my off days my BP is normal

Pre-surgery pic 180 lbs. Size 16p

Post & goal pic 125 lbs. Size 0-2p

I weigh 122 now.
