CIGNA Insurance and Weight Gain

Hi ALL!

I am currently in the 89+ day weight loss management stage. October 29th is my last weigh-in. My questions is, what happens if you gain weight during this period? Will CIGNA deny you because of it?

I had gained a little during my 89+ days. My weight on my very first visit was 259, and it fluctuated up and down, getting as high as 268 (that was a different office and a different scale though). At my last visit before pre-cert papers were sent off, my weight was 262. CIGNA approved me within 3 business days :) I was SO worried that I would be denied because of the weight fluctuations, but I was approved.

Good luck to you!!

This is good to know. I don't know how true the following statement will end up being but my preop weight loss goal is 30lbs. I'm coming into my 5th visit in 2 weeks this one with the surgeon. I don't know how strict they will be. I'm making all the lifestyle changes but they haven't resulted in lbs lost.
