I had my surgery on Friday and I was able to work on the following Friday...still a bit sore, but I have a desk job...I wouldn't have been able to do a job that is physical...no lifting anything over 20 lbs for the first 2 weeks...I probably would have been able to go back to work sooner, but I took meds for several days...I had a hernia repaired at the same time I had the lapband and had some pain in my back...

hi- I was out for 5 days- I am a nurse but I work with newborns- so no really heavy lifting and my co-workers were awesome! Almost 2 years later and no complications either

I was sore for about 4 days and a little stuff when I first went back to work. Surgery on a tuesday and back the following monday.

Everyone is different so take what we all say with a grain of salt.
