  1. I just had a TORe procedure done last Wednesday. My pouch was never quite small enough and of course, I struggled with being hungry. So 2 years out, and I had it done endoscopically. No pain. And things are definitely tighter!
  2. My son’s name is Kevin as well. He was killed by someone who didn’t Slow Down or Move Over as is the law in MA. He was loading a disabled vehicle onto his flatbed tow truck and was struck and killed instantly by someone who didn’t. He was 22 and my baby. He would be 25 now.
  3. Got rid of mine ( regrets since 2005) and had RNY the same day. Maybe you can get a revision? RNY June 11,2018
  4. I am craving shrimp. I didn’t like shrimp much pre op. Crazy. Lol. Tiny canned shrimp goes really well right now. RNY June 11,2018
  5. My band I had in 2005 came out at the same time as my RNY was done. Thank goodness. RNY June 11,2018
  6. Every time I sat up on the edge of the bed I was like a baby being burped. Lol. Loud burps too.
  7. No issues here. Yet, anyway. I can guzzle all fluids. I’m a little worried. Lol. RNY June 11
  8. Run! Just got rid of mine. Had the nasty puke band for 13 years. If you are a food addict as most of us are, you will soon figure out that refined carbs go down really well and good protein ( meat, chicken) comes up and out really well. RNY with lap band removal June 11
  9. Went to Walmart yesterday. Leaning on the cart the whole time - not from pain, but from weakness. Wore me out! RNY June 11
  10. My belly is very bruised as well. 1st night post op while in the hospital, one of the incisions leaked a large amount of bloody drainage ( think bed change?). Definitely a hematoma in that spot. So now I believe that’s all healing- resulting in this beautiful multicolored abdomen. And it itches like crazy!!!! RNY was June 11.
  11. I did get one shot of lovenox. I then proceeded (this may be tmi) to have quite the rectal bleed. I feel Ike it had something to do with the hefty dose of Cymbalta I take. 90 mg. I refused the second lovenox. I’m a nurse and I was already bleeding all over the place!
  12. I had to use the miralax prep for a colonoscopy. Had the band at that point. Miralax did nothing. Had to prep again the next day with another concoction. Miralax gave me hellacious gas though!! Just didn’t clean me out!
  13. Smooth move tea has a good reputation.
  14. My RNY was a revision from a band too. Done on 6/11
  15. Mine just happened on Monday
  16. I’m June 11 too! RNY
  17. I’m 57. Awaiting insurance approval for RNY; tentative date of June 11,2018. I am not 57 in my head though. LOL
  18. Awaiting insurance approval. I have a tentative date of June 11,2018.
  19. Congrats on your weight loss. I am the queen of slow loss (translation: non compliant bandster). I have not been good at all, and have only managed to lose as much as you. But it took ME almost 2 YEARS!! I went for another fill though last week, and I am exactly where I should be - FINALLY! I have lost like 8 pounds in a week and am not hungry at all. Maybe you just need a tweak instead of a kick in the butt?
  20. Wow, can I relate. I am out about 2 years as well, and have not been a "good" bandster. My loss has been slow and not steady. I am down 50 in almost 2 years. But...without my band I surely would have been up at least 50 more plus another 50. I got a fill yesterday and today I am recommitted - again. If the band could go around my head I would be much better.
