What is everyones diet?

After about 40 days of dieting (2 weeks pre surgery and 26 after surgery) i am in my second stall. I am down a total of 48 lbs, 21lbs pre and the rest after. I am super fustrated. I go thru days at a time without movement.

My regular diet is simple:

Breakfast 2 egg white, cheese, protien shake

lunch 3 ounces of meat. chicken, fish,

Snack 3 ounces of Hummus

dinner 3-4 ounces of meat, chicken, fish, turkey

Snack sf ice pops, sf Jello, or cottage cheese.

Overall i stay between 700-1000 calories a day. Some days are lower but never more then that. I get about 70 or so protien and drink about 50-60 fluids a day.

I know i should be happy with the 48 lbs and i am happy. But this stall again is fustrating.

Any tip, hints, opinions or advice would be much appreciated.

I do use MFP. I log everything. I stay under 1000 calories a day, usually around 700-800 on average. My protien intake is between 55-70 a day, water is about 50-60 a day and my carbs are under 25?a day. I stay away from as much starches as i can. I havent had rice, chips, fries or potatoes since i started my pre op diet in the middle of june. I dont get that overstuffed feeling that everyone talks about, probably because ive never gone over the recommend portions by my doctor. I have dropped 50lbs since the beging of this journey, but i am never happy unless i see movement. Lol

I am two weeks out and now feeling sore inside. Is anyone else feeling this way. Still having spasms. I would think at two weeks I would be feeling good. But feeling achey in my tummy.

Karen I felt that way at 2 weeks, it is completely normal. I didn't feel "good" or back to normal til week 4. It will be off and on but it will get better. Take it easy!!!

27 lbs in 40 days is extraordinary!! Great job!!!

All I can eat is 3 meals a day, 4oz max... So I have

cottage cheese or an egg in the am, 4oz protein/veg for lunch and same for dinner.

Virtually no carbs, rarely do I snack on a piece of fruit, and I mean 1/6 of a peach or 5-6 grapes... That's all I'm allowed. My doc does not believe in protein shakes. I do drink tons of water though!

thanks Rose310. I think I am also gonna ask my doc for something for acid reflux. Twice did I wake up feeling bloated. I can feel the soreness in my tummy now. I am thinking my tummy wasn't quite ready for purées I may have to step back a notch. If I sleep on my side any side I feel the pressure on my inside I try to sleep on my back but feels like acid reflux mayb my head needs to be elevated somewhat. I am just feeling depressed feeling like this. If there were complications wouldn't I have already known u think? Thanks again.

@@Karen Scott It might help if you take a pillow and stick it under your tummy when you sleep on your side. I also noticed a sharp pain in my tummy for the first couple of weeks. Like the food would slide down and hit a nerve or something. But one day that just stopped. Now I have to look for other cues like belching or hiccups telling me I've hit my upper limit.

thnx. I will try that I just hope sooner or later I will soon start to feel like my self again.

Mine is a pretty simple equation and whatever foods fit within that equation work for me. :-)

75g of protein (minimum)

30-40g carbs (maximum)

100 oz of water (minimum)

When I stick to this, all goes well. :-)

Is anyone having all kinds of noises and little burps after eating? Man, I am noisy even after just a tiny bit. Even a drink of water.

I am noisy when I eat. Doesn't make a sound if I am not eating. And wen I get with my husband that is also another time my sleeve decides to talk. Omg!! ????
