I had my lap band done almost two years ago. About a week ago, my gyno found a rather larger cyst on my left ovary. They will be doing a laparoscopic procedure like the lap band. I just want to see if anyone has had this done? Or another laparoscopic procedure after lap band? Will my band be safe? I worry about the gas that will be used during this new surgery and what damage it can cause to my band in the long run?

Can you call your Bariatric surgeon for a little pow-wow and is the surgeon who is removing the cyst aware you have your band? Put those medical professionals to work. Yes I did I have my gallbladder taken out 8 months after I was banded and it seems to be fine.
