3 days

I'm going in for surgery in just 3 days. Praying my period ends before Friday! This sucks! But I'm excited nonetheless. Scared. Battling when to tell my mom. She'll freak and worry. I need positive energy. She needs to be supportive . If she doesn't have a choice and it's done already maybe that's better. But I don't want to hurt her not telling her ahead of time. So conflicted

I haven't told a few people either. One being a close relative who is a doctor. But I want prayer for my surgery and positive thoughts not negative ones. So because I have to have a hernia repair also, for those people, I will be asking for prayer and tell them later that I also had weight loss surgery. That way I won't have to hear what they have to say. Because although relevant, I have done all the research I needed to, I have prayed about it, & I know that I made the right decision. I hope that helps

Do what your gut tells you to do. And be ready to face what comes....okay kid. It is a lot of stress and excitement and everything in between coming up for you.....

I really dreaded telling my parents, but they shocked me with their positive response. They seem genuinely happy and excited for me. I think they know I made a good decisions.

Do what you have to do…. its you're mum, and she will always worry no matter what age you are…good luck.

ahh!!! me too. I decided I am not going to tell anyone. Only my wife knows. Just don't want friends and family to worry and there are some who just don't understand the surgery itself... whatever you choose, best of luck. good luck on your surgery too
