1 week

Tomorrow will be 1 week that I have been banded. I am so.......happy to finally get some substance. I was told that hot cereals is ok. I was hoping to make grits in the morning. Has anyone of you had that 1 week out? Also I was told cream of mushroom soup and creamy onion soup was ok. But I thought the small bots of mushroom and small bits of onion is not ok for 1 week post op. What are you alls opinion.

Every doctor has their own protocol and the list of allowable foods will vary from doctor to doctor. Are you on mushies, purees, thick liquids at this time?

No just clear liquids for one week

I did grits on week 3...

I'm eating (well ... drinking) cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup this week. When i get to the chunky bits, I just make sure that I chew them well before swallowing. To be honest, the bits are SO small that I can't see them being an issue at all.
