post-op question concerning food

I had my rny surgery on July 31, 2014. So far everything has gone as expected with no major issues.

However, every single thing (food, Water, meds, vit) that I ingest tastes so sweet. I mean almost like I'm crunching sugar, sweet. Doesn't matter if it's the blandest food or plain water. Even chicken broth, veggie baby food, etc. Things that shouldn't even have sugar or sugar substitutes in it. Everything tastes so sweet I can't stand it and makes it that much harder to get all the things I need to down. Does anybody else have this issue or have heard of it? Do you know how long this will go on? Should I be concerned enough to call my doc/nut before my scheduled appt?
