  9. I had Dr. Evanson. He is amazing. The experience you will have at St.Vincent's will be good. The staff is friendly from the moment you arrive for surgery until you leave.

  11. I had my surgery at St. Vincent's Carmel on 7/31
  12. I had my rny surgery on July 31, 2014. So far everything has gone as expected with no major issues. However, every single thing (food, Water, meds, vit) that I ingest tastes so sweet. I mean almost like I'm crunching sugar, sweet. Doesn't matter if it's the blandest food or plain water. Even chicken broth, veggie baby food, etc. Things that shouldn't even have sugar or sugar substitutes in it. Everything tastes so sweet I can't stand it and makes it that much harder to get all the things I need to down. Does anybody else have this issue or have heard of it? Do you know how long this will go on? Should I be concerned enough to call my doc/nut before my scheduled appt?
  13. Surgery is set for July 31st. I am so excited to have a date and yet almost wish I didn't. I would've much preferred a last minute scheduling so I didn't have time to dwell on the 'what ifs' for the next to weeks. I've known for a little over a week now. I've been trying to keep busy so I don't think about it. Time is going SO slowly. Anybody else feel like this?
  14. 1. Be Healthy, not worrying that my weight will kill me and leave my kids without their mom. 2. Have energy/stamina to keep up with my kids and enjoy doing the things that I want to do. 3. Exercising without feeling like I'm too fat to work out the way I want too. 4. Be able to actually enjoy shopping for clothes instead of dreading it. 5. Being able to be spontaneous. Such as a last minute sleep over at a friend's knowing I can just borrow something to sleep in. 6. Go anywhere and be able to sit comfortably and not worry if the chair can hold my weight. 7. To be able to run a marathon, if I ever am so inclined. 8. Ride a horse without fear that I'm hurting it. 9. Go on a roller coaster without being scared the locks won't hold or afraid of not fitting in the seat. 10. Buying a motorcycle knowing I can ride it with ease.
