  2. I live in las Vegas and there are plenty of protein rich foods and numerous restaurants to choose from like the protein house.
  3. Try the 5 day pouch test to help you get back on track! And thank you for your story!
  4. I did bypass as well. I had to have a hernia repair and my doc suggested to go with bypass.
  5. I am 8 months post op on the 11th and I had bypass and hernia repair and I had no complications and definitely no regrets! It was a very emotional week after surgery though but if you do what your told and eat slowly you will do fine! I would do over again in a heart beat IT is the best thing that I ever did for myself!
  6. I originally went for the band but I had a really bad hiatal hernia in which my doc strongly recommended to do gastric. I really didn't want to get anything rerouted like TinaC but then I did more research and decided that was best for me and Im so happy I did it cause it is very restrictive. I can pretty much eat anything but in way smaller portions and too much sugar does cause me to dump which was my downfall in the first place!!
  7. That's what I finally did was measure my body cuz I stall for long periods of time and have been losing weight slowly but my cloths keep getting bigger and bigger!!!????

  9. I was 6 weeks out yesterday and have only lost 25lbs so 39 sounds great to me. My problem is food does not taste good at all at the moment so I've been having a hard time getting in calories and protein. All in all I've had no complications which I'm grateful for but I arrive on and Monday I'm going to start a boot camp so maybe that will help the scale to move!
  10. I am 5 weeks out and have the same problem. Nothing tastes good but I almost get in at least 700 calories and all my protein.
  11.    A new me! reacted to a post in a topic: post-op question concerning food
  12. Same thing happened to me it will eventually fade and in had my surgery on july11
  13. Jtickle I'm jealous that's amazing I've been stalled for almost 2 weeks now and have lost only 15lbs since surgery.
  14. I just went through the same thing buy baby spoons and eat super slow. I was taking too big of a bite and too fast and was having excruciating painful cramps and I'm almost 3 weeks post op! Good luck!
  15. That's amazing! I had surgery july 11 and just started pureed foods and have been at a stall for about a week.
