How long before showering?

Question... how long after gastric bypass can you shower?

I know every surgeon is different -just trying to get an estimate.

Thanks

My doctor allowed me to shower right away. I felt some type if way by showering in the hospital. As soon as I got home I got in the shower. Just no tub!

Thanks... was worried about the doctor wanting me to wait.

I was allowed to shower the next day. That was the first thing I did when I got home.

I can shower any time just no soaking in a tub or pool for a few weeks

I had to wait til 4 days post op. It felt fabulous!

I was allowed to shower the next morning. I had to wait 3 weeks for the hot tub ..

I was able to shower the next morning before being released. They simply taped some plastic wrap over the bandage around my port exit and sent me down the hall.

Showering was on my list of things to do before I was released. Take some comfy clothing to put on after your shower.
