Week 5: May 27-31st Sleevers

Hello everyone and welcome to week 5 of our sleeve journey! Thanks to @@lylabelle for admin'ing the group so far. Let's have our weigh in on Monday as usual and I will be glad to keep the new threads going for those of us who choose bariatricpal to keep in touch throughout our journey each Friday.

Seriously, we need to think of a group name. I nominate "Quarter Cup Club" and "Sleeveless in Seattle" and "Walk Forest Walk" anything other than may 27-31st sleevers :)

And personally, i'm going to hit 10k steps for the first time since surgery today. There was a fire alarm at my office so I thought, I'm gonna take a walk and came back an hour later haha!

Reminder: please direct requests for Facebook group access to @@lylabelle and @@Sh3iz in private message, not on the thread. Thanks!

  • Wow everyone's making really good progress! Even with the "stalls" some (like me) were experiencing this is still a lot faster than I could have ever lost on my own willpower. Congrats to everyone!

I personally like the May 27-31st Sleevers. Kind of makes it easy to find our thread.

So far, for those who posted on yesterday's weigh in, as a group of 12 ppl...

We lost 92 lbs combined pre surgery.

We lost 336 lbs combined since surgery!

The average loss per person 28 lbs.

The median loss is 27lbs.

The most lost by one person is 46 lbs.

Impressive! Keep making the hard choices to stick to plan and keep telling your stories!

I'm enjoying a variety of Proteins, different meats with low fat cheese and a dipping sauce or dressing that is also low-fat. I've gotten good at not eating too much at once and really paying attention to the gurgles, and need to be done eating before gurgles progress to hiccups and belching. Such an adventure!

I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow and am down 21 pounds in 33 days so he should be pleased. I still start my day with a Protein shake and really load it up with Atkins shake, almond milk, a scoop of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein powder and a dash of a sugar free Torani syrup. Current favorite is chocolate with hazelnut syrup blended with ice - like a yummy milkshake and about 46 grams of protein!

I'm avoiding all carbs and not really hard since I don't eat much so after protein I don't have any room in frankenbelly for anything else.

It's nice to share the journey with you all - look how much we've all lost so far! Amazing!

How much to did lose the week you finally beat your stall? I am looking at a about a week for my stall so far.

I stayed the sane weight for almost 2 weeks. When I say same it would fluctuate up a pound an down a pound. I stopped weighing after the first week of this an waited 5 days an weighed again an was down 6 lbs;)

When I left hospital I was 290, an yesterday morning I was 263

For my protein I just started using the jimmy dean breakfast bowls. There only 2$ an some actually have 28g of protein! I'm eating off an on it most of morning an lunch but hey it's ALOT better than the protein drink that I'm way burnt out on!

Krystal I love the Jimmy Dean idea. I wonder if I can do the breakfast sandwiches if I remove half the bread. I miss those.

I haven't had a breakfast bowl in ages- aren't the full of carbs or are these the light ones? I usually just do an "espresso protein" shake and consider that my breakfast- 30 G protein but food would be nice

Sorry a little late. Don't have a scale.
