Blogs...do they make you more successful?

Recommended Posts

I want to start blogging, but considering I haven't really told family or friends about my surgery...I feel odd blogging about it. At the same time, I want to share my experiences with like minded people...and help others along this journey. Plus, I feel it will keep me accountable. Those of you with blogs...is it worth it?

Its nice to clear your head. I tend to forget about it for a few weeks, then have catch-up posts hahah its worth a shot. if you dont like it, you dont have to keep doing it.

I would recommend it! You're going to go through a lot of changes & in the future, it will be inspirational to go back at look at your struggles, your victories, and everything in between! :) Good luck! Also, if you don't want your friends & family to know, you could always blog under an alias.

I'm really just starting my journey towards WLS...first apt with surgeon and NUT is on 07 July. I decided to do it so that I would have a complete record of what I was thinking at each stage so that when I hit a stall, or get down I have something remind me of why I did it. I also have not told a lot of family yet, but if/when I do, I can share the blog with them as a way to bring them up to speed on the journey....plus sometimes I just have to be snarky and writing it gets it off my mind... :P

I started one on blogger, just not published yet. I'll share it with you all once I do :-). I struggle with telling people close to me because of the negative comments they have already made about this kind of surgery. It really sucks there is a stigma attached to it, when it helps so many!

My blog did help me in the begining. Then life got crazy and I didn't have time for it and the closer to my goal I got the less exciting blogging felt. If you don't feel like blogging I think you can acheive the same feeling it would give you on this board.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
