Knowing what you know now.......

What advice would you give someone that's getting sleeved in September? From exercising, eating, vitamins, and anything else you could think of that they should start doing more or less of. How did you prepare & what would you've done differently?

Pre-op. Don't stock up on anything. You should be out and about by day 2 or 3 and able to buy what you like. What you like now will change. Post-op. Eat really freaking slow and never trust a far

  • Never ever trust a fart. Never. Seriously. Never

  • Definitely don't stock up too much because I had a nose like a pregnant person right after surgery and everything I thought would be good I hated cuz of the smell! I couldn't stand sugar free things

I'm tracking now on my fitness pal and following a 1600 calorie plan. It's help me a lot. And yes I just tracked icecream cake lastnight and did not want to but I did.

I like the fitbit flex, gosh it keeps me in line!

Yeah the chapstick is a must, And get a pedicure before your surgery. You will not be able to do your tootsies for a while.

No do not stock up on everything ...you will get cabin fever. I made my husband crazy with "take me to winn dixie for some yogurt" and I would buy two containers of yogurt. That is cause I wanted to go somewhere.

Make sure you get over the hospital stuff, like the drugs the sleepy guy gives you, they will mess you up for a while.

I know I had cream of mushroom Soup and cream of chicken, that I would put in a blender and sip for something different.

But your taste will change, I would love a salt lick

I bought gummy Vitamins from walmart

I bought the food scale, waste of money since I eat small amounts anyway.

How do you keep track of Protein if you don't measure anything? Just curious...

My nut told us to measure by volume not by weight. I use a small glass cup, similar to a large shot glass, with ounces marked on the side. Goes to 5 ounces, got at Walmart for a couple of bucks. They are made by Anchor Hocking. I got 3 of them.

Never ever trust a fart. Never. Seriously. Never

How long does this last?

Start researching different shake recipies. I only buy chocolate n vanilla mixes then I add extracts and/or a quarter teaspoon of sugar free pudding mixes. I make orange cream shakes strawberry cheesecake chocolate mint all kinds. Research now. .
