  • Sounds like you could be swollen from the surgery. I've read many posts similar to yours from newly banded patients or patients who were recently filled. Try chewing on ice chips to get enough fluids

  • Thanks!

Sounds like you could be swollen from the surgery. I've read many posts similar to yours from newly banded patients or patients who were recently filled. Try chewing on ice chips to get enough fluids. And if it becomes too hard or impossible to swallow any fluids call your surgeon. They may have primed your band at surgery and they can take some saline out?

Thanks! I just talked with my nurse and she said its Normal for me to be a lil tighter bc of the hernia they removed.

I did the same thing for weeks after my surgery even right after surgery i had to stay because anytime i would sip Water it would hurt so bad that i wouldnt want to drink anything and of course they said it was from the swelling and my body adjusting to the band but things got better once i got through the first couple of weeks good luck!!!
