Wow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow! We get to push the re-set button, we get to start over. We get to be healthy and strong! Keep the faith, everybody. We are totally going to ROCK this. If you can, take some technology with you to the hospital--and let's check in when we wake up. I can't wait! It's been 18 months since I started this process. I was cleared by insurance a year ago, but....I couldn't walk because of my knees. So, one year and two knee replacements later, I am ready to do this! God bless you all. See you on the other side!

good luck to you as well. I plan in taking my phone and iPad so I can stay connected.

I'm about to leave for the hospital. Taking my phone and iPad with me so I can stay in touch. Good luck today everyone!

Its 4:40 am here in CA where I am and Im getting ready to leave for hospital. Surgery at 7:30...today is our day! Good luck and prayers for everyone. we got this!!

. I'm in CA as well Fremont but surgery is in South San Fran.

Good luck to everyone today! I'm up tomorrow! Just waiting for a call from the hospital with the time!!

Good evening everyone! Had my surgery about 9:30 and feeling pretty good. Tired and loopy from the meds. My stomach and incisions are sore but no where near unbearable. Doctor said everything went as good as one could hope for. If everything goes well tomorrow I should get to go home tomorrow evening. Super excited! Sitting up in a chair now. Hope everyone has just as a good day as I had.

Hello. Finally had surgery 3 1/2 hours past my time. I have gotten p and did on lap already and finally able to sip water. Pain in ok hurts when I move which is often as my old injure in my back. Can't keep my eyes open either. ????

I had a rough first day but all because of the gas pains. The pain meds kept everything else under control. Luckily I didn't have any nausea. The gas pain settled right in the middle of my chest and was killer. I was stuck in recovery for 4 hours while they waited for an empty room for me. I want able to get up and walk until around 9:30 pm. The nursing staff at this hospital is amazing though! I couldn't have asked for better care! They took the catheter out this morning and u was able to go on my own about half an hour later. I got up to walk every time I got up to pee which was about every hour. When I finally got lunch the smell of the chicken broth almost made me gag but I got about half of it down. I ate about 1/3 of the Jello. Now I'm being discharged and just waiting for a wheelchair to take me to the front door!

New life here I come:-) I really haven't had much pain from the incisions or from my stomach. .. mostly when I move from one side to the other and it feels like the day after a hard core workout.

I just want to go home and get some sleep in a less noisy environment! !!

How is everyone feeling now that you're home? I'm on full liquids as of today. I've only had one protein shake that took me about two hours to drink. I'm still really weak...I guess because of the lack of calories over the last few days? I finally took a shower today which helped me feel human again though. I'm not really feeling any pain from my incisions....just mild discomfort.

I'm doing good hard to sleep still can't find a comfortable way to lay yet. But otherwise not bad no real pain from my incisions. I can add soft foods today so I'm going to try a yogurt soon. Getting they my protein shake for the day slowly but will make it at the end if the day. Been up and walking as well. Just ordered myself a medical alert bracket in case something happens in the future. Looking forward to showing later today as well.

4 days post op..doing ok...still lots of pain at large incisions sites when getting up and down or trying to sit. Ive been trying to walk as much as possible. I am having a hard time getting water in, not because of nausea or anything...I sip sip all day but I just don't feel like im getting very far. Also came home from hospital 10lbs heavier that really sucked all those iv fluids and gas. I can't wait until I can sleep on my side again..sleeping on my back with a million pillows is getting old, lol. Has anyone experienced Diarehha? I have it and don't understand how because I don't have food in my tummy. Just broth, water and alittle protein drink.

I'm with you can't wait to sleep on my sides again my back is killing me. I also came home heavier from all the IV fluids but today I was 2 lbs less then surgery weight. No diarrhea here I still have had a bowel, movement since surgery even though I'm passing gas like crazy.

I guess I'm lucky, I've been able to sleep on my sides since I got home - no major pain from my incisions. That sucks that you gained so much from the IV fluids! I didn't gain but I had expected to lose from not eating anything and didn't so I figured it was all the fluids they pumped into me.

I did experience some diarrhea yesterday for the first time, as well as my first bm.

My biggest issue is I feel SO weak. I'm having trouble getting out of bed. I haven't really been doing the walking that they want me to do because I'm afraid I am going to pass out. I'm not actually having any trouble getting my Protein shakes in so I'm not sure why I'm so weak. I need to call the dr's office today because I think they screwed up my 1 week follow up appt. They scheduled it for 7/2 - that would make it a 2 week follow up! Maybe that's not a big deal, I'll call and see. Anyone else still feeling really weak???

Good news is I'm down 3 1/2 from surgery weigh in :)
