Is Nausea and Sick Feeling Normal

I am now 4 weeks and three days out still nauseous and sick feeling and very faint. Dr says I am not dehydrated but only getting in about 25 oz of liquid a couple of bites of yogurt or cottage cheese and one protein shake. I have no desire to eat or drink. Is there anyone else like this? Is this normal? I'm getting scared.

Still pre op but think your doc can give you anti nausea medicine

When was the last time you spoke with your surgeon? Severe nausea and lightheadness at one month post surgery would concern me if I was you. Every bari program is different, but it seems that you would/should be consuming more than 25 gm of water/day by now and more than one 20-30gm? of protein (shake) a day.

Please call your surgeon again if you are not getting the help you need. That's what they're getting paid for. Ask that you be given something for nausea and find out why you are lightheaded all the time. If you are driving, you could even be in danger of passing out, so please be safe.

Hope you feel better soon.

I had nausea up until.about 6 weeks. My dr gave me anti nausea med zofran to take home and was a life saver. It wasnt until a couple days ago that I could get my protein in and im 7 weeks out.

I am 9 days post op and three days ago started feeling nauseated and even vomiting some. Dr gave me anti meds but really no relief. Hope it gets better for you and me. Good luck.

I felt like s$#% for about 5-6 weeks post op. Nausea especially. The anti-nausea prescription I was given was worthless and most OTC meds I tried also didn't help much. Hang in there. It gets better.

I'm 3 weeks out and I struggle to get my fluid and protein in too. Don't be nervous, just do your best - your body went through a big trauma. We all take different time to heal.
