  1. I'm almost 7 weeks out and I have about 60g protein a day. I rely on dairy a lot too, but I make 1 shake with jay Robb powder and soy milk. I'll also have turkey chili, chicken, and tuna. I also only wait like 5-10 mins after drinking to eat. I think the 30 mins is just for after. I haven't had many issues! Still a little stalled on the weight but just trying not to focus on that.
  2. Hi y'all! Are any of you in the Boston area? Id love to get together with some fellow sleevers near me. Thanks!
  3. Jay Robb whey protein! Lactose free and sweetened with stevia. I get mine at vitamin shoppe. Also isopure unflavored in broth
  4. He should speak to his surgeon ASAP. May be acid, may be a stricture. Best to get it checked out. I'm on omeprazole and it's doing a great job.
  5. I'm so glad I'm not alone. I haven't lost anything in 3 weeks now and I'm about to take someone's head off if they ask me how much I've lost.
  6. Sleeved May 12, down 20 from surgery and then stalled out. Nut told me to put my scale away for a month and I did, but I'm just so discouraged. Any other May sleevers experiencing this?
  7. Sleep as much as you can! Your body wants to repair itself. Don't push yourself and just relax.
  8. I'm still stuck too y'all! My dietitian told me to lock up my scale and that's what I did. In a couple weeks I'll check again. Solidarity!!
  9. Thank god for this thread! I was sleeved on 5/12 and I lost about 18, and have been stalled for a week and a half now. It's maddening! I'm glad to see im not alone.
  10. I'm 19 days out and I was on that pain stuff for a solid week, plus 1 extra day where my ab muscles were playing up. Take the meds and walk! Those pain meds are a freakin godsend.
  11. Oh awesome ideas!! I'll check them all out. I'm being cheeky today and I put isopure into regular chocolate soy milk but that can't be a regular thing.
  12. I'm still on liquids but I'm lactose intolerant AND allergic to artificial sweeteners. I've been putting unflavored isopure into broth but I am desperate for some other ideas. Are there decent flavored powders without lactose and artificial sweeteners? Or recipes? Much appreciated.
  13. I'm 3 weeks out and I struggle to get my fluid and protein in too. Don't be nervous, just do your best - your body went through a big trauma. We all take different time to heal.
  14. Thanks y'all. Called the PA line and they told me to take omeprazole twice a day, as it might be swelling. Fingers crossed.
  15. Yes, I take little tiny dime-sized bites and barely get through any food. I'm not sure what to do here.
  16. 18 days post-op here and I've been trying some soft foods. Apart from yogurt, ANYTHING I try makes me flushed and have a fast heart rate. I feel like my heart is beating faster than normal also, as an aside. Does anyone know what's going on here? Getting SO discouraged.
  17. Congratulations! Dr. Shikora sleeved me up 2 weeks ago today. He's the best!
  18. I'm 14 days out and still tire easily too, but I found that my energy levels got a little higher when I added more protein. I also sneak in a regular sugar Popsicle in once in a while to perk me up since I am allergic to fake sugar. Hopefully we will get our energy back soon!
  19. My grandfather had a gastrectomy back in the 70s for his bad ulcers and get lived until he was 93. Ate food he loved but they did tell him "you'll never be heavy."
  20. Hi y'all - OP here. I had to go to the ER with bad lower right abdominal pain. I'm 10 days out now and they told me they think my stomach muscles are strained and need to heal. Has this happened to any of you? Basically if I sit for a while then get up, it's BAD pain for a few minutes and then it settles down and I can walk around. So nerve wracking. Needing more reassurance
  21. Had my sleeve on May 12, got released May 14. I'm definitely struggling with fluid and protein, plus so much gas! When will that relax! I feel like just waking up gives me the farts! Found that I was lactose intolerant and also sensitive to sugar substitutes, so that does give me a grim diet for now. Here's to gas-x!
  22. That makes me feel a lot better! I gotta stop forcing my body. Lord these gas pains can't go away soon enough though!!
