Looking for local va people

Hi fotogrphr I too am in Roanoke , haven't had surgery yet , will probably be the end of the year. Still doing Dr. supervised weight loss for 6 months. Hope you continue to do well.

Surgery went great. So far no problems. Very happy with this surgery. My advise is do it. It's something you have to get use to but I am much happier now then I was eating everything I use too. I am about 5 weeks out and feel soooooo much better.

Hi I am Roanoke as well I have Dr. Powers I had my surgery on the 8th still at the hospital an on my clear liquid diet doing great been up an walking. I have had a lil temperature since coming out of surgery but feeling great an the are running every possible test.

They are great at fair oaks. I had my surgery there. Have you attended the monthly meeting. I think the next meeting is on the 16th.

I have not been to any of the meetings yet, but I will be attending the one on the 16th. Do a lot of pre op folks attend those meetings?

I only have attended one so far. I believe there were some people who hadn't had their surgery yet. I will be there maybe we will meet.

Hi Fab@Forty: I'm at the beginning stage. I participated in a webinar last night with Dr. Elariny at INOVA Fair Oaks. I really enjoyed his presentation. I've done several. I've been putting this off for over a year and now its TIME! I have an appt. with him in a couple of weeks. So I hope all goes well. What stage are you at? Have you already submitted your paperwork...who is your insur. carrier?
