Need so veterans help

Ok so lately... As in the last couple of weeks... I've been waking up about 45 minutes after dozing off to sleep and throwing up. I've even started keeping a trash can bedside because it happens so fast. It's not food... I'm almost wondering if I'm frothing from a later dinner than normal and laying down is causing the reaction. This morning my sweet hubs brought me breakfast in bed and I dozed back off after eating only to have it happen yet again. Now killer acid reflux. None of the foods are the same. Thought it was possible the vitamin I took close to bedtime until it happened again today. Any thoughts?

I would recommend you not eat and lie down so soon. If you have dinner at 6 pm and go to bed at 10 pm, maybe the food has time to digest a little. Are you taking the Prilosec also? I am 6 months post sleeve and it was recommended I stay on the Omeprazole. Taking the vitamins at bedtime might also be bad. I would take everything earlier. Good luck!

Try using a foam wedge under you in the bed to slightly raise your head. ;)

It's acid reflux. I've woken up choking on it before and could easily see how someone would/could throw up. Try Prilosec and see if that works.

I've seen posts on this before and they all indicated this happens when they eat too close to bedtime.

I went through that and put off going back to doc until I got awakened in my sleep (again) but this time aspirated. 3 days later I had pneumonia. I then realized what was going on and got in to see the doc ASAP. I ended up having a "reservoir" develop which was storing some of the food and now I'm going to get another band (not a new port) this week. Don't mess with middle of the night acid reflux.
