I have just got medicaid for insurance and I am waiting to get the gastric sleeve surgery done. Does anyone know if medicaid pays for weight loss surgery. I am really hoping so, I really need this. I weigh 349 and I'm 5'4 and I'm just miserable being so big. I live in Michigan and I'm 26. Please help, thank you! Any information is welcomed!

So were you able to go forward with it? I've found a bariatric surgeon who accepts the medicaid in Michigan, but i can't seem to find a PCP who does so I can be referred to him.
