My first time

Hi all, this is my very first time here. I am so inspired by people pictures, stories and support that I want to be a part of it too. I went for my intial consult with the doctor, nutitionist and psychologist on March 24, 2007 and have a tenative surgery date of June 25, 2007. Right now I am just praying that my insurance will approve the procedure. I am definitly looking to make connections with individuals just starting out so we can support one another a long the way. I look forward to hearing from you!

Lynette,

I live in Alexandria. Dr. Kerlakein did my surgery. He is with Good Samaritan Hospital. He is great. I just went to the health fair that St. Luke put on a week or two ago. Were you there? My mom's friend is getting hers done by Dr. Sonnanstine. He seems very good and knowledgable. That is why we were at the health fair.

My mom is going to Dr. Curry. She has her date scheduled for May 4th.

Wow..small world.

Tracy,

I work in Cold Spring at Kohl's. I was not at the health fair, but wish I had gone. I actually went to Dr. Sonnanstines seminar on March 1 and had my consultation March 2. I originally thought that I would get banded April 30, but couldn't get in to the dietician and psychologist until April 24.

We have inventory at work on June 24 and 25, so I'm waiting until after that to have the surgery. I'm taking 4 weeks off, and the timing just didn't work out to have it until after inventory. So here I sit, waiting.

You can email me at dolphinatic617@yahoo.com. I'd like to stay in touch and it's always nice to have support from someone who knows what it's all about. Tell your mom I said good luck. When is her friends surgery with Dr. S?

Hi , my name is Marie, I found this site a couple of days ago, I just love the support you all give each other! I am due to get my band 22/5/07 and I cant wait. I have been yo-yoing all my life, I do well for a while, then my cravings ruin everything for me! even now, I find myself having this or that "for the last time" I am 56 today, 5ft.1 in. and 210 lbs. I am living in Dublin. I want to wish all of you the very best of good luck in your efforts to lose weight, and to thank you in advance for any help or good advice you can give me. Marie :help:
