Newly Sleeved, Too Much Liquid?

I was sleeved Monday, April 7th. The first 5 days my sleeve was swollen and I could hardly drink anything! I just sipped and sipped all day and I was so worried I would get dehydrated! by days 6 and now 7 I am drinking nearly all day! In fact I'm drinking so much I'm afraid that it may be too much! I don't want to stretch my sleeve in the first week!! and on liquids!!! Wondering if the sleeve is what I needed. ~sigh~

I drink, my Protein shake (only 1 a day as of now working on 2 to get my 60 grams of protein), Water, unsweetened tea, Crystal Light, and I eat sugar free Jello and pudding. I can only consume a small amount of pudding but jello I can eat a pretty decent sized square of. I don't feel full or if I do, I don't know it? Is that possible? A lot of times my stomach will be growling and my stomach hurts like its empty! This is so strange and upsetting. Anyone have any helpful advice for a new sleever?

Thanx in advance,

Jess xoxo

P.S.

Please be kind. =)

  • I was sleeved march 20th. I had the same concerns. Within a week I was able to drink 11oz within a 1/2 hr. I was assured by others and my doctor that this is normal. Liquids go through you much fa

I got sleeved on 4/10. I'm having trouble sipping anything. It's painful when I drink. Had anyone had that problem? I just got home from the hospital today. I stayed extra because I wasn't drinking or peeing slot. I'm in so much pain. I'm also a conversion from a lap band to a sleeve.

I'm also band to sleeve conversion on 4/10. I also have quite a bit of pain. I can only take small sips at a time. If I take more then a small sip it is very painful. I'm just trying to be patient and sip sip sip. Everything tastes terrible. Crystal light burns going down. The liquid pain meds burn going down. It's difficult to swallow jello so I swish it in my mouth until it is liquid. If I lay flat I get reflux. This is all a lot more uncomfortable then I prepared for. But, I am just taking it day by day. I know it will get better soon. It helps to come on this site and read everyone's else's posts. At least I know I'm not alone!

Thanks, it's good to know that someone has the same symptoms as I do. I was just reading jello and had the same feeling you described. As we both know this will soon end. Hang in there.
