How long after surgery did you

Wait until you had intercourse?

It's been two and a half weeks and I mentally want to but I'm kind of scared at the same time!

I know my husband would like to.

I don't have any pain in my abdomen from the incisions anymore.

What was your experience?

  • I told my husband the same as I'll tell you. I had 85% of my stomach removed. Not my vagina. The vagina bone is not connected to the stomach bone. So relax and do it!!

LMAO!!! Well alright. Funny thing is I'm usually the one who wants it more!

I think I'm more worried about missionary. Lol.

Two weeks at our house. It took that long to get some energy back,

My nurse told me I could whenever I was ready. I think it was about a week. I had zero desire to have sex before that. Poor hubby.

Of course my intestines are a mess for no reason. No nookie tonight.

A glass of wine would be nice.

At my 2 week post op appointment, hubby wanted to know if I had been cleared for "all" activity~LOL, doc said whatever I could tolerate and I said "hot damn" My doctor laughed so I know he was "hip" to the question :D

Just take it easy, no swinging from chandeliers or monkey bars, and enjoy.

I still haven't felt up to it. I'm just not in the mood. I am so tired and emotional, and I can tell my period is coming. Blech!

I attempted to have sex with my boyfriend but we couldn't because I had a three month strong period since surgery and he was having none of that! I don't blame him either lol

Oh that sucks!

We did it! I felt kind of like it was the first time I was nervous and felt subconscious. Ha.

Thx for posting this question!! I recently spoke with my husband and thanked him for being patient and understanding. I told him that although I'm "hot" for him, let me get this uncomfortable drain tube out first, which is tomorrow..then I would make it up to him. ;0)

20 lbs lighter, I should fit my nighties much better.

Good luck everyone!

I used to be high desire but now it's like I just don't feel like it. I hope this gets better soon, I'm four weeks out!

When my husband had his lapband(had surgery on a Monday, home on Tuesday) and we went hot and heavy in the sheets that Friday night! I guess it just depends om how you feel!
