I have horizon NJ direct and my Dr was Marc Neff

How long ago was that?

Not sure-- it's full name is horizon blue cross blue shield and the plan is direct access.

Yeah, that's different. Thanks for your response though!

I have Horizon NJ Health. My Dr is Marc Neff in Cherry Hill

I had my surgery on 1/16/15

Horizon nj health is Medicaid and direct access can be either a pos or PPo it just means you don't need a referral

Hey PhillyFan99....he's awesome isn't he?

You need to be comfortable with your surgeon! Where are you located?

Morristown. In every encounter with him, he has been short and condescending. My boyfriend mentioned it at first, but I didn't pay too much attention. When he essentially hung up on me a couple of days ago over a miscommunication, after telling me "he is only here to help, I have to call doctors and do that work myself," that just was the straw. I wasn't even talking to him, I was talking to an office worker who must have misunderstood me and suddenly the surgeon was on the phone. It was strange.

Hi NJ folks. We have quarterly face to face meetings in NYC and welcome our bariatric friends on the other side of the Hudson River. If anyone is interested in finding out more about the meetings, just feel free to reach out to me. As you see from my signature, I'm a co-leader for the NYC chapter. We've had Jersey folk attend before and welcome any of you as well.

Go to horizon's website and register. You will then be able to get a list of docs near you.

Wow you all look GREAT !! Everyone keep up the good work , I know how hard it is. Plus people don't know they think we took the easy way out ! They don't know how we all struggle , cause we're all "heavy minded" and that internal fight it a rough one !!

I work out more now that I'm thinner then I've ever did when I was heavy
