Is it Caffeine withdrawl?

Day 3 of pre-op diet..yesterday morning was spent with pounding headache , nausea and dry heaving. I had to call off work..Slightly better today.. Wondering if its caffeine withdrawl? or all these vitamins? Or the Aspartme in the sugar free jello and popsicles? Anyone with any ideas?

I'm on day 2 of the liquid diet and had the same horrible headache. I think mine is a tiny bit the caffeine, but mostly just the no food. I too heard that this goes away after a few days. I hope...

  • Withdrawal of... caffeine, sugar, carbs, food, etc... it'll pass

I've only gotten the "ice pic" to the temple feeling when I'm having caffeine withdrawals, none of the other symptoms your experiencing. I do get nauseous when I take vitamins or calcium on an empty stomach. Hope they ease up soon.

My mother is allergic to the aspartame and it gives her bad headaches and upsets her stomach. Just call your doctor and see what he says. Hope you feel better!
