Cardiologist was so negative :-(

The cardiologist is making me do another stress test after telling me that everything was fine. I honestly believe that because I didn't want to hear his opinion about a young woman like me just need to exercise blah blah smh, well cuz of that seems he added an extra stress test...did you have to do a stress test besides running on the treadmill? Maybe it's just me being paranoid. ..

I would speculate that he's just looking out for you. Stress tests stink, I know. When my EKG came back abnormal, I had to have one... and not the treadmill one, the other one where you're injected with drugs to raise your heart rate. No fun. But they have to be sure your heart is OK for surgery. I imagine it goes under a great deal of stress when your under.

Best of luck to you, and be well...

That's a positive way to look at it I don't even know what the other stress test entails only that it's 3-4 hours long.

I was required to do a thallium stress test and an echo. Pricey testing but to ensure my heart is ok for surgery I was ok with it. I can see where u would feel the way u do just know it better to have additional testing done verses not enough. It's ok just consider it be safer than sorry later. Best of luck to you. When is ur surgery scheduled?

Yes ma'am and copay after copay but in the end it's allllll worth it. Anything worth having we gotta work for it or we won't truly appreciate it. Just think after jumping through all these hoops being on a constant emotional roller coaster and all that comes with having the surgery I couldn't imagine throwing all this hard work away by not doing what I'm supposed to post operatively. Hang in there and let us know when u get ur date.

Isn't that the worst!!? It's amazing how that makes you feel!! I had that two years ago; hated it. God, make it stop--the test effect, not the heart!
