My Dr. Was and is Angela Glasnap loveee her. Surgery was at Overlook hospital in summit. Love the staff there so courtesy and supportive. Insurance I have Amerihealth EPO NJ. Anything else feel free to ask :-). Just left the center for my 1 week check up everything is great. Lost 9 lbs in 6 days yayy

Hi well I'm now 6 days post op, my 1 week check up is actually today. I started my process back in the early days of May 2014. I could have been sleeved as early as July 14th but I wanted to give my jobs enough time to find extra help. My recovery is going amazing each day it truly gets better. Remember protein protein!

Yayyy an NJ group! Ok I'm in North Jersey going through the pre dawn stages ( consultation, appointments, seminars). I'm going through NJ Bariatric center. My insurance is Amerihealth EPO. I'm 4'11 and 206 lbs. Thank you for creating this forum it will definitely bring more people from NJ together to share their experience. Good luck to us all.

It seems everyone in this forum has BCBS...we don't have that in common but we do have NJ Bariatric Center in common. I went to the seminar at Overlook on the 10th of May. Dr. Goyal was very informative. If anyone has Amerihealth please let's talk lol thanks and good luck to us all.

O my cardiologist ordered a stress test. He was definitely trying to talk me out of surgery smh I know he meant well but it's my choice.

So I'm thinking the test aren't really insurance requirements but depending on the surgeon. This is really new news to me. But definitely not complaining lol

Thank you, I did the blood work and had my cardio done last month, and also my radiology so I'm ready to go. Lol just means a faster date.

Did it feel weird? It's like all along on my research I've never come across anyone not ordered to perform these two test so was a bit taken back for a second.

Hi everyone went to my 3rd consultation today with my 3rd dr. Finally feel right and comfortable with everything. My question is this the other 2 consultations the doctors wanted me to do pulmonary and gastrointestinal along with the others, cardio, radiology, nutrition, psych. Just wondering if anyone else didn't have to take pulmonary and gastrointestinal test also? Was always under the impression that was a mandatory part of the process.

I have no idea which hospital I will end up with or dr. This will be my 3rd consultation because the other 2 were just to far in south jersey. What insurance did you have? I have Amerihealth epo. I'm so ready to start this process

My consultation is in Springfield but I'm guessing they are affiliated with multiple hospitals. Who was your dr. Also what should I expect in consultation?
