I didn't have the gas issues fortunately, but everyone says just keep walking. As for the sleep part it gets better every night. My pain meds usually helped me but I woke up every hour probably the first few nights. I had my surgery on Tuesday 2/25 and by that Friday I was off all the pain meds and everything except the reflux meds. It does get better everyday though so it will go by fast, once I got my drain out I slept like a baby then. Just take it slow and stick to your diet and you will be good. My tip would be don't eat close to bedtime. Every time I have, I wake up with really bad reflux in the middle of the night. That's the only time I get reflux though so I just make sure I give my self 2 hours before laying down after I eat. You just have to see how stuff effects you though.

Just an update :) i am 13 days out and i have lost about 19 pounds. Tomm i can start my soft food diet which i am very excited about. Even though the scale says otherwise i don't feel like i look thinner. I cant wait to workout. I have a muscle pain in the lower left side. Dr said it was normal but it BURNS!

Im having my surgery tomorrow and im looking for some words of comfort. Im very nervous. Not exactly about the surgical aspect but with completely changing my lifestyle.

I just had my surgery on Monday today is my second day home , i find it really hard to keep all these liquids down. I get really frustrated I'm just looking for some in sight & tips thanks you

UPDATE :)

Im about 18 days out of surgery. I started at 242.2 and now i weigh 218! I cant wait to start really working out and seeing the difference. Everybody is saying i already look thinner but i dont see it? Also i recommend palmers firming butter! Its already working on my upper arms :)

Sounds like you're doing awesome! Keep up

The good work :) I am 8 days out, 5'5 started at 256 and I'm down to 240...im still on the clear liquid phase but I have more energy now than I have ever had in my life..and my pain and discomfort has diminished...I'm going to try the gas-x strips tho and see if that helps with my gas pain that travels to my back and chest up to my left collar bone..I'm also going to try the palmers firming cream! So excited!
