Anemic before Gastric Sleeve

Hi,

I apologize if this topic has been started. Did anyone have low Iron levels before gastric sleeve surgery?

My iron levels are low and I have been taking iron tablets to increase the levels. I am considering having the surgery done in Mexico the end of next month. Please let me know your experience I am a nervous wreck right now.

Thank you

Low iron won't affect your ability to have the surgery. Mine was low before and still is low. I'm taking 325mg iron 3 times a day. I've had iron infusions and still only get close to normal levels

I've had pernicious anemia for years before surgery and it hasn't affected anything. My Iron levels will always be low no matter what I do for the rest of my life.

It didn't affect me. I take 325 mg twice a day. I've been anemic for several years. No issue for surgery.
