Nothing taste right

I'm still on full liquids. However I had enough of these bariatric fusion drinks. All I wanna do is drink water and even my yogurt and cottage cheese taste funny. What's wrong with me?

Nothing is wrong with you. After my surgery nothing tasted right to me either. Food didn't smell right, either. That lasted a month or two before gradually going away. It actually was helpful in taking care of the 'head hunger'. You quickly get over wanting something if it's not appealing. :-)

Been there, done that Mrs. H! I don't think anything is wrong with you. Terry said it best!

You taste buds do change after surgery, I remember water was tasting like metal, yogurt I gagged at the taste in fact anything I put in my mouth had a bitter taste to it....I will say in the weeks to come it does get better...

Thank U guys. For a minute there I thought I was going coocoo. Lol. It's almost like being pregnant again.

As far as taste and smell went, it was exactly like being pregnant again! Lol

This happened to me too....gradually getting back to normal but I still have a bit of an aversion to sweet flavors...gone off of things I used to love.

Xx
