Hello everyone,

This morning I have been extremely light headed. My surgery was 11 weeks ago. I've been getting in the 64 oz. of liquids and getting my 60 g. of Protein in. I'm not diabetic, do not have high blood pressure, in fact my blood pressure is usually low. I've been light headed before-usually when moving from a seated or reclined position to a standing position. This morning it is not only at those times but even when I'm resting in a seated position.

The good thing is, I've got a follow up appointment this afternoon with the surgeon's office. I'll defintely ask the nurse practioner what it could be.

The only thing I can think of is that I'm not able to consume any carbs. I only have room for the protein during my 3 meals a day.

Anyone else get light headed at this point? If so, was there a cause diagnosed?

Thank you,

Kathleen

I was just talking to someone else about this, they are about 12 weeks out. Her bloodpressure was actually too low, causing the lightheadedness. We really cut out a lot of salt after being sleeved, it might be your body reacting to that, especially if you have already low blood pressure. Ask your doctor if this is a possiblility. Easy enough to fix if it's that simple. Good luck! Keep us posted, I think sharing these different types of side effects are very helpful.

I have low blood pressure too and occasionally get dizzy. I attribute it to the low blood pressure.

It could be inner ear problems also..The weather here in Alabama has been crazy and many folks are sick from it...We can't forget that other things than our sleeve will/can make us sick...Hope you feel better soon!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
