Surgery March 7,2014 !

Hi my name is Katie I am 34 yeas old and I live in Key West FL I will be making trip to Matrgate FL on March 6th for my Pre Op Ed Class and then taking the BIG step on March 7th! Any words of advice or suggestions would be great !

What do I bring to the hospital? What are the days / weeks after surgery like?

Thanks

My first few days after surgery were tough. I was exhausted and nauseous beyond belief. Even sipping Water made me gag. But every day got better and better. I had 3 weeks aways from work, and I became stronger and stronger with every day back. The longer out you are from surgery, the more nutrients you are able to take in, which helps. That being said, many people feel well immediately after surgery, this is just my experience.

I recommend bringing a tooth brush, pajamas/sweats, and chapstick with you to the hospital. Also a computer/smartphone/iPad, if you can't be without one! I spent a lot of time watching TV.

Best of luck!
