Waiting too long for surgery!

I have my last nutrition class on Tuesday. I called and asked my status is about scheduling surgery for me. I was told that it wont be until May sometime. :( I have to wait because he is booked up until then. I don't know what to do. I feel very frustrated with me having to wait so long!!

Someone always bails out with surgery so make sure you get on his wait list so you can take someone's place? Lots of reasons why people bail, but illness, family emergencies, cold feet, failure on pre-op surgery, hernia's and other anatomy problems cause quite few cancellations.

But, it might mean you're on a constant pre-op diet unless someone bails a week out?

Don't be down! This is a great time to slowly start making the new habits you will need to incorporate into your new lifestyle! And it's never too early to start making healthier changes in your life--I lost 30 lbs before surgery, and it doesn't matter when you lose them, just THAT you lose them! LOL Also use this time to research more and stock up what you will need post-surgery.

But I agree with the poster above: someone will have to bail because their insurance isn't lined up right, or they need to see a specialist about something, etc. Time will fly by! Get ready and good luck!
