weak

I am 11 days post op and today is the first day o don't feel so well. I am very weak and feel like I really need to eat a few bites of something. This liquid only is killing me. I have no trouble with nausea or keeping anything down. Have been able to get all my liquids in so I don't think I'm dehydrated. How can a body that was used to 2000 calories a day function on the 400 I'm getting now. I have already lost 18 lbs. My post op isn't until Tuesday the 25th. How did everyone deal with this? Can I have a bite of something?

If you are feeling that hungry, you are probably not getting enough Protein in... you can add it to your other liquids to pump it up a bit...but call your doctor...he may let you have a bit of something pureed... but that's not for us to tell you.

Also try drinking something hot...decaf tea or broth is more satisfying.

Good luck!
