It took 6 months for me.....

I went to my first seminar in November of 2013 and my surgery is tomorrow, so it took me almost 3 months exactly! If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Also, you can check out my blog (the link is in my signature below). I detailed every step of the process from seminar to surgery so you can read about it if you're interested :)

I went to my first seminar on January 8th 2014.. I got banded on February 14.

Went to my seminar in July of 2012 and surgery was in January 2013

My consult was on Jan 23rd and surgery was Feb 13th...I was self-pay, which definitely made a difference on the timing

I went for my seminar on Nov. 6 and did all my appointments for requirements phys.eval, Ekg, paper work from dietian letter of nessity everything was submitted Dec. 18, 2013 got my approval letter Dec. 28 2013 had my surgery January 14, 2014 just make sure you have everything when you submit, my insurance is blue care network they were awesome.

Depends on if you are self pay or insurance. Most insurance companies require six months of supervised visits with your primary and for them to write a letter of medical necessity. If you are self pay you can do it whenever.

I was self-pay... waited 4 weeks.

Tom, Toronto

Banded July 6 06

Wt. Loss: 160 lbs

I had my first consult with my surgeon on May 15 and was banded on September 11. I could have been banded in July, but I chose to wait until September since I had several obligations in July and August that could not be rescheduled.

I went to a seminar in Feb 2009, and was banded in Sep 2009, so about 7 months for me. Insurance required 6 months medically supervised diet.
