Have my evaluation this morning, don't know why I'm soooooo nervous. Hope everything works out in my favor. Anyone else nervous about their evaluation?

Mine was a test a ridiculous retarded 567 question, color in the circle with a number 2 pencil test (that was the exact number of questions 567!!) Questions like "Have you ever wished you were a for

  • Mine was the same 567 question and fill in the bubbles plus questions on the computer about the same stuff was a piece of cake

  • You have to answer truthfully, if you don't they can tell -- the test has this built in (essentially they ask some questions several different ways). It's nothing to worry about, just be honest.

. Mine is Wednesday. Good luck to all of us!

When I took that stupid questionnaire I was a little nervous but I already had experience with it before when I had the lap band back in 2008. The questions can be very tricky, most of the questions were very similar but where worded differently. This time when I took it, it was about the same but I was happy to see the whole "Do you love your Mother" or "Do you love your Father" questions were gone. Of course I love my mom! Or the famous question "How are you feeling right now" then ask you the same question ten minutes later on question 200 when you just want to get done with the it. You will do fine, I have faith :)

Mine to Belladonna... I was like omg!!!

Hi today I had my psych evaluation and I think I was one of the lucky ones because I didn't had to do NO questioner! Yay!!! The doctor just asked me a few questions and that's all!! I feel lucky and Bless that I didn't had to do those darn questioner that some of you had to do! Sorry to all that had to do those questioners!

After psychology evaluation, how long did they take to send results to doctor? Have all my requirement done. Hope to have wls by early march.

My psychological evaluation was on 1/21, and my doctor had it either on the 22nd or 23rd, because they submitted everything to insurance on the 23rd. Buuuuut, my whole experience was rushed as I'm a student and only had a few days I could do this. So the psyc had a rush on getting my doc her answer.

If you can find one that works with bariatric patients it will probably be quicker. Mine was turned around in 1 day, but there were others on the referral list that took 3 weeks. My patient advocate referred me to the quicker one.

I went to a bariatric center so I didn't have to find a separate psyche. I just used theirs. I'm bipolar and see a psych on a regular basis. Their psych said she'd approve me but wanted my personal psych to fax her a letter stating I was emotionally stable, etc. mine took about 4 days Bc of that wait.

Yeah, I used the psyc that is in the same building/offices as my surgeon. I think it must usually take a little bit, because they told me the psyc "rushed" to give the surgeon her results.

They fax my results before I left the office and they gave the original document! I'm just every office as deferent protocols!

I had my psych evaluation last week with my nutrition evaluation at the surgeon's office. They both went very well. The psych part was basically a meeting with the psychologist where we just talked for about 30 mins. She asked me a few questions, but mostly listened to me babble on about my family, my life and how she thinks I will do with the surgery. She was very nice and I had a really good feeling about it after I left, especially because she told me she thinks I am really ready for this. Good luck! You'll be fine!

It's nice to see people talk about their psych evals here. I'm nervous as hell about mine. It's the last thing to do before they submit to insurance for a date. I have mine on Thursday. It's getting down to the wire and I just can't wait!!!

Please don't be nervous. .I was freaking out prior to my appointment also..trust me it's nothing to be nervous about..they just ask u basic questions. .the part I hated was the 526 computer test..asking the same questions over and over again, but phrase differently. .keep up posted. That was the last thing I need also before they submit to insurance.

I didn't have that test. It was just a one on one session in which we just talked. Was easy breezy. I was open and honest and she approved me that day.

The psych evaluation was the one test I was actually excited about. I got As in college in My Psych classes so this stuff has always fascinated me. My psych was a cool laid back hippy chick. She was nurturing, listened and calmed me. She spent an hour doing one on one talking with me. We talked about everything and I was really open and honest with her. She wanted to make sure that I have thought about all aspects of surgery and making sure I have positive outlet to redirect my addiction to to that is positive, making sure I had a clear grasp of life after surgery and my expectations being realistic. It was a breeze!
