I had an awesome phone call today moving me to the next stage of food (was supposed to be on Monday) I cried. Lol so emotional. Anyway I had like no food because I've been on liquids. So I scrambled up some things and made a tuna mousse with double protein cream cheese I had. Some lemon, a tsp o sour cream just to moisten (didn't have mayo), dash of Tabasco, some pepper... Put a tbsp on a cracker with some melted cheese and it was heavenly lol ahhh substance

Congrats Kristina! That sounds awesome. I was scared to try tuna because I've heard so many people say it made them sick but I tried some lemon pepper tuna with Greek yogurt (instead of mayo) and some relish. It was so good and it didn't make me sick!

I went to my GP today. She said I have lost over 40lbs since my last visit in January. She was super impressed at how good I was doing for a month out. She cut my BP meds in half and said I can probably stop taking them altogether after my next check up!

Wow wallflower...im sooo excited for you...great news!

Lol....well its now 9 day post op..lower abd still gassy...wth...he really filled me up huh? Lol...im on week 2 diet so hoping more food eill help get this out. Its tolerable..im just wanting to weigh myself...lol...actuslly not anxious to do that any time soon...not sure why....guess i dont want to be disapppointed..lol.

Week 2 for me is still fluids. Week 3 starts pureed diet. Looking forward to that. I didn't want to weigh either but I was pleasantly surprised. I did wait for the gas/fluid to calm down though.

Im only taking 3 oz give or take over an hour or so...just take it slow....i might have 6 oz of my protein drink today....next week can have powdered shakes...yay.. dont forget to drink mik..yogurt...pudding for your calcium...

Protein shakes are killin me! They feel so heavy

I mix mine with water and make them thin. That way, I get more fluids too. I am sick of chocolate though.

I'm staying away from too much dairy because it can cause gas. Also, some people become lactose intolerant after surgery. Next week, I start supplements, and one of those is calcium. Did you know that Calcium and Iron shouldn't be taken together because they cancel each other out? Oh the things I'm learning!

I know I was so confused on a time frame for what pills to take when and with which other pills... Thank God my surgeon gave me a daily schedule for when and what pills to take. Lifesaver. I put it in an app for RX reminder. Works great!!!

What app are you using?

Today went well, all of the foods I incorporated into my diet all sat well today. Yay!! Cheese, tuna, cracker, fish, veggies, and Greek yogurt.

Didn't you have surgery on the 24th too? Holy cow and you're already eating all that stuff? I'm still on full liquid for another week. Lol.
