I'm April 30th! Just got my date today.

April 8 sleevers, are you ready? how's the pre op diet going?

Hi joyann, mťy preop not too bad, shakes, yoghurt and fruit until tea time then more relaxed. Lost 2lb last week but stricter this week.

Think I'm in denial about op as it was 6 weeks away and now flying out Monday with op Tuesday. Am little apprehensive but just costing thru the next few days lol

Hi Joyann the 1st 4 days for me on preop were brutal but I'm down 10 pounds and I like the premier protein shake so all good this week. I have a calm like I can't believe I'm sure I'll freak out the day of but I'm also very excited! How are you and everyone else doing?

EEEEEK!! i have one week of food freedom left, is anyone gonna enjoy their last supper persay before getting sleeved? and whats on the menu for pre-op diets? i need some ideas and already warned people im gonna be a straight up BYTCH during my pre-op and surgical week!!

I am totally having food funerals... Chinese today, alcohol and sushi tomorrow, and hot wings on Sunday!!! I know I need to get it out of my system !

I ate with reckless abandon in that I didn't think about my choices and ate however much I wanted. I didn't have food funerals per se. I had lots of sushi, my husband cooked my favorite dish that he makes, and I had fast food. I usually am very conscious about my choice, but not last week. The food will all still be here after I'm sleeved. I just have to change my relationship with it.

I'm a band to sleever so this isn't my first rodeo. I started my pre-op a day earlier than I had to because I did it for 9 days with my band and this time the nut was only telling me 7. I figure 8 is a happy medium. I'm starting day 4 of a full liquid, no sugar diet, and yes I have my moments of being somewhat of a "bytch". I just keep my eyes on the prize--a successful surgery on April 9th.

Good luck!

No food funerals for me. I started the 1,200 calorie diet in November and as of yesterday I'm down 35 lbs. (was required to lse 27 lbs. begore surgery could even be scheduled). My birthday was Wednesdy and my kids and I went on a mini vacation where I planned to eat whatever I wanted and I found that I could not do it! I actually lost 2 more lbs. I start my liquid diet on April 16th. I'm not sure what choices that involves until I see the NUT on the 15th.

Best of luck to you!!

Hey everyone I'm doing good on my pre op diet. my pre-op diet wasn't bad I just had to follow phase one of the South Beach Diet which was basically cutting out carbs, fruits, and sweets. I can eat meat and vegetables the healthy ones of course no fried foods so it's been pretty good. the day before surgery I can have a low carb high protein breakfast and then all liquids for the rest of the day until midnight. but I have to admit I did have a couple of last meals. my last meal was at TGIF on march 27th I had the baby back ribs , shrimp and fries . that was supposed to be my farewell dinner but then the next day I had Chinese and the next day I started on my actual phase 1 so I had 2 farewell meals but like I said I can eat steak , burger , fish baked chicken so I'm doing pretty good not missing much yet my fear is fear after the surgery worrying about if I can get enough protein in. I plan on packing my bag for the hospital tomorrow.

Woohoo! All scheduled for the 21st! Got my approval in 1 day. Pre op blood work on the 10th and start my liquid diet on the 11th. Omg this is really happening!

Good for you mommy!! It will be here before you know it

What is everyone packing/tacking with them to the hospital?
