  3. Correction. I started my journey on October 2013 not august! Sorry...
  4. I consider my weight loss to be slow. I was 255 when I started this journey back in August 2013. On the day of surgery 4/8/13 I weighed 224. Today I weigh 199. So I'm looking at a 25lb loss in 7 weeks. I had a stall at 3 weeks that lasted for about 2 weeks and I've lost about 1 to 1 1\2 lbs since. One problem I have is Water or Fluid intake. I have never been a heavy drinker. A coffee in the morning and maybe 2 more glasses of something throughout the day be it tea crystal light or water. Right now I am getting in 32 oz. Lemon herbal tea per day (someone please comment on the tea, is this OK, too much....), 8 to 16 oz. Crystal light, and about 10 oz. Liquid Protein. But today I am going to up my liquids even if I have to gag! Lol.lol. problem is have never been a heavy water drinker or pop juice. I like Hot drinks year round. But on the plus side. Ihave dropped 2 dress sizes. I return to work on Tuesday. I had the hernia repair and I do a little heavy lifting at work so my Dr. Gave me 6 weeks off, no strenuous exercise. So I'm sure once I get back to work, and able to do more of a work out I will see more results. My Doctor told me to concentrate on nutrition and the weight will come off. He's had me on the south beach diet pre op. So now I am following phase 1 of southbeach. Good Luck!!!!!
  5. You look great keep up the good work!
  6. I'm 6 weeks out. I hit a stall at 3 weeks and have been loosing 1 to 1.5 lbs. a week since.

  8. I was craving a donut the other day so I sent hubby to Tim Horton's for a 10 piece timbit and I ate 1 cake timbit and gave the rest to him!!!! It satisfied the craving...

  13. I like the EAS protein shake-walmart. 4 pk is $3.96. 17 grams protein. Strawberry, vanilla and dark chocolate. I mix the dark choc with the vanilla. Tastes just like chocolate milk

  16. Hi I had leeve done on april 8 too. I too have lost 14 lbs since surgery and have hit a stall. Imthinking I would have lost little more but I became dehydrated week 2 went back into the hospital and iv gave me another 6 or 7 pounds. I didnt get the drainage tube and fluids pooled in my abdomen laying on my stomach making it painful to drink or eat. I haven't been cleared for exercise yet so I just walk. Im not in a real hurry though for the weight to drop I know eventually it will come. However, I was reading on here yesterday that if you increase you water and protein it will kickstart the weightloss, I tried it. Even though its 2 am, looks like I lo see t a pound. Good luck to you....
  17. I got my hair done 3 days befor surgery so I didnt have to worry about chemicals so soon after surgery.

  22. I was having the same problem when I was about 8 or 9 days out. I went to the emergency room they did xrays and they said that there was blood that pooled in my stomach and it had gotten very large and was laying on my stomach and that's what was causing all the symptoms . I had the exact same symptoms but I was also dehydrated which is what made me feel worse so they hook me up to IV gave me pain meds I stayed overnight but they said the blood that pulled in my stomach would just go away on its own. I will begin to feel better so its been about 3 or 4 days since then and I do feel much better.if the ER is not doing anything for you I agree you should call your surgeon or your doctor's office
