  5. I used to be hot all the time, now it seems I'm always cold. Could it be diet related? Has anyone else experienced this?
  6. I had to do the 6 month thing as well. Seemed to take forever! Started in October, finally scheduled for May 6th!
  7. One of my coworkers has gastric bypass in December and I noticed when people tell her she looks great and ask what she's doing, she simply answers "I'm losing weight!" Not sure how she responds to people who ask how. I plan to say "I'm eating less" LOL
  8. Me too!! I've told 5 of my Co workers and we talk about my surgery as if it were an exotic vacation I'm going on, lol. Every morning I have been writing how many more days I have left on a post it note and stick it to my monitor at work. We're all counting down the days. My date is May 6th and we have 27 days left. That's less than a month!I'm May 6th too!!
  9. I'm may 6th. My team meeting is apr 17 do I guess I'll find out then what the pre-op diet will be. For now I am pretty good during the week - protein shake for dinner, healthy choice soup for lunch, then normal dinner. I tend to fall off the wagon on the weekend though. Beer and wings on Saturday was not part of the plan! I've lost 13 or so in the last few months.
  10. Mine only took a day but I've heard most take a week or two.
  11. Can I ask how much you've lost in a year?
  12. I have my pre-op "team meeting" on April 17. Not sure when my pre-op diet will start. Does it depend in how much you've lost already? I've lost 13 so far. They said I had to lose 11.
  13. Congratulations!!!! Does the 20.5 lbs include your pre-op weight loss? My surgery is may 6 and I've lost 13 so far. I'm wondering what I will be able to lose before my sisters wedding on Aug 9th.
  14. They wouldn't schedule me until I already had the approval, which is why I have the long wait now.
  15. I just got my approval from insurance and the first available date was May 6th. Was really hoping for April! Seems like I've been waiting forever!!
  16. Was hoping for April but just got my approval and there no date available until May 6th :-(
  17. I actually really like the shakes. Hope my tastes don't change!!
  18. The information my mom received said birth control medication needed to be stopped 3 weeks prior to surgery. Is that the case for everyone? I'd really like to be able to keep taking mine all the way through.
  19. St Luke's in Allentown
  20. Finally told my daughter about the surgery. She's really upset and doesn't understand why I can't just lose the weight without it. Tried to explain everything to her but she doesn't want to hear it. I told her how I'm really going to need her support and its not going to be easy.
  21. I'm in the Lehigh Valley
  22. My mom is having the sleeve two days before her 70th birthday.
