getting off bp meds

  • Popular Post

After 3yrs I will be getting off my bp meds Saturday. They had me cut it in half for 2 weeks bc can't quit cold turkey. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I'm 11weeks out today and down 61 lbs.

i'm guessing every DR is different as i stopped taking mine 3 weeks after surgery as it put me in hospital as i was on highest dose of all my meds including cholestorol which i found out they didn't even prescribe that high anymore. i just stopped taking without any issues right after surgery when i tried taking it put me in hospital with low blood pressure. Congratulations Though it is a good feeling to get off all the meds

Thanks. Yes it is. :)

Sissy - SO HAPPY for you !! I'm on BP meds too and planning surgery in February. My GP said it is highly likely I will come off BP and Cholesterol meds after surgery. Honestly, this alone makes it worthwhile for me. Congratulations to you.
